13 Gold Head Coach
Eastern Volleyball Academy is proud to welcome Coach Chris Sheppard—affectionately known as Coach Shep—to the coaching staff for the upcoming season. A legendary figure in South Jersey volleyball, Coach Shep brings 27 years of experience, a proven championship pedigree, and a deep commitment to building teams with integrity and heart.
As the only head coach in Williamstown High School girls volleyball history, Coach Sheppard has led his teams to six NJSIAA Group 4 State Championships (2006, 2010, 2012, 2019, 2021, and 2024), including a historic 37–0 season capped off with a Tournament of Champions title. His coaching legacy is defined not only by wins, but by the strong culture he instills—emphasizing discipline, accountability, and unity on and off the court.
Throughout his career, Coach Shep has mentored generations of student-athletes who excel athletically, academically, and as leaders in their communities. His players are known for their teamwork, resilience, and commitment to one another—values he consistently fosters within every team he leads.
Now, Coach Shep brings his championship mindset and passion for the game to EVA, where his leadership will continue to inspire the next generation of athletes.
