Coach David Gurst joins Eastern Volleyball Academy as our Recruitment Coordinator, bringing more than 35 years of coaching experience and an extensive background in collegiate volleyball. Entering his 10th season as the winningest coach in Rutgers-Camden volleyball history, Coach Gurst has built a reputation for developing successful student-athletes both on and off the court.

Throughout his collegiate coaching career, he has led Rutgers-Camden to multiple NJAC and ECAC playoff appearances, helped more than 27 student-athletes earn NJAC Academic Honors, and coached numerous All-Conference, All-Region, and All-America players.

As EVA’s Recruitment Coordinator, Coach Gurst will work closely with athletes and their families throughout the college recruiting process. From identifying the right academic and athletic fit to building exposure and managing important timelines, he will provide valuable guidance every step of the way.

With decades of experience, a strong network of collegiate connections, and a passion for mentoring young athletes, Coach Gurst will be an incredible resource for our EVA community. We are excited to welcome him to the EVA family and look forward to the impact he will make on our athletes’ futures.
